Hilary Baboukis

Hilary Baboukis, mezzo-soprano, is honored to be making her concert debut with the Masterwork Chorus in the Requiem of Giuseppe Verdi. Recent engagements include Dalila (Samson et Dalila), Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Giovanna Seymour (Anna Bolena), La Principessa (Suor Angelica), Zita (Gianni Schicchi), Mrs. McLean (Susannah), and Maddalena (Rigoletto). Choral engagements as soloist include Messe des Morts (Charpentier), Messiah (Handel), Missa Solemnis (Beethoven), Missa Jubilate Deo (Juneau), and the Requiem settings of Mozart and Verdi. Upcoming engagements include Adalgisa (Norma), Isabella (L’Italiana in Algeri), and as soloist in Missa in Tempore Belli (Haydn) and Elijah (Mendelssohn). Ms. Baboukis has collaborated with mutiple ensembles in New York and New Jersey, including the choirs of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral and Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Big Apple Baroque, Akousmatikoi, Eastern Opera of New Jersey, and Summit Chorale. She also collaborates frequently with the Cairo Choral Society and the Lions of Cairo. Ms. Baboukis studied at Columbia University, the American University in Cairo, and Oklahoma State University. She has also appeared as a soloist with the Midwest Institute of Opera and as a conductor with the European-American Musical Alliance.
